Winter Session 2020:

HUWISU now offers a limited number of student accommodation (single rooms and twin rooms) for the Winter Session 2020. Students who are accepted into the program and who have paid the program fees will automatically receive information about the housing companies as well as on how to book a room. Prices vary from 490,- EUR (twin room) up to 880,- EUR (single room) for the duration of the program.

Summer Session 2019:

Equipment and Location of the Summer Apartments

The apartments are situated at Bismarckstrasse 103, Leibnizstr. 95, Berlin Charlottenburg and are easy to reach by public transportation. Two or three students of the same sex share an apartment (depending on the size of the apartment) and have single rooms each. The rooms are very modern, quite large and equipped with a flatscreen TV as well as WiFi. Bed linen and towels will also be provided. The price for a single room amounts to 920,- EUR* for the duration of one summer session (4 weeks)

You can find the following items in the apartment:

  • Bed linen & towels
  • flat-screen TV
  • WiFi
  • Refrigerator
  • Dishes, cutlery and cooking utensils
  • Coffee machine
  • Vacuum cleaner
  • Coin-operated washing machines and dryers in a separate laundry room in the building

Shopping Facilities

Close to the apartment buildings you can find supermarkets, a shopping mall with grocery stores, small restaurants, banks and a pharmacy. Just a few minutes walk from the apartment block there are several doctors, dentists and internet cafés.

How to get to Humboldt-Universität

The apartments at the corner of Bismarckstraße and Leibnizstraße are not far from Berlin's city centre. The Deutsche Oper underground station (U2) and the Ernst-Reuter-Platz station (U2) put you within minutes of Alexanderplatz, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, and of a variety of restaurants and cultural institutions.


The university’s dining hall offers reasonably-priced lunch (approximately 3-5 Euros per meal).

Check-in / Check-out

Check-in will be possible on either

Saturday and Sunday, June 15th and June 16th from 3pm to 9pm for Summer Session I or
Saturday and Sunday, July 20th and July 21st from 3pm to 9pm for Summer Session II

Check-out will take place on

Saturday and Sunday, July 13th and July 14th from 8am to 2pm for Summer Session I or
Saturday and Sunday, August 17th and August 18th from 8am to 2pm for Summer Session II

It is not possible to move into or out of the apartments outside these hours.


* Please note that a housing deposit (150 Euros) has to be paid in cash upon arrival. We will return the deposit in cash in the event of a flawless inspection of your room during the regular check-out times.
In case of early departure we kindly ask you to inform us about your bank details within four weeks after the end of your course. The deposit will be transferred to your account given that everything is in order after the room inspection.
